Free Kayaking Sampler

City Kayak offers free kayaking opportunity on every Sunday Streets days. We will show you the basics, and you can paddle in a protected area for 30 minutes.

There is no age limit, but a child must ride with an adult.

What's Included

The session lasts 1 hour.
Includes 30 minutes of paddling, 30 minutes for gear up and lesson.

Kayak selection will be based on paddler profile (experience, skill level, height, weight). Try single and double kayaks- yes, try both.

Need to be present at the start time for a free ticket.

Things to Bring

Clothes that you don’t mind getting wet, bottled water, sun protection, waterproof camera. Layers of wind jacket or waterproof pants are recommended.

Baggage check-in is available, but please leave your valuables at home. City Kayak is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Location

City Kayak South Beach Harbor is at the intersection of The Embarcadero and Townsend.

Free 1 hour visitor parking is located in the front. 2 hour street parking is a good option too. Parking permit can be purchased at the South Beach Harbor. Street closure may affect access to the parking lot.

Muni lines N, T to Brannan station and AT&T Park are the nearest stops. Bicycling along the Embarcadero, Townsend, and Brannan streets are easiest route.
